There are no inmates on site at any time. Civeo Premium associates do not have any interaction with, nor access to, inmates.\nWe are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the coordination of production and sanitation functions within Food Services. This role plans and leads daily production meetings with all departments, monitors tray room, dish room, shipping, and sanitation activities, and works closely with Production Managers and Tray Assembly Managers/Supervisors to ensure meal production targets are achieved while all procedures and policies are consistently followed.\nResponsibilities\nEnsure compliance with GMP, HACCP/SQF requirements, food safety legislation, sanitation standards, and environmental regulations.\nConduct audits, daily verifications, mock recalls, and CCP documentation reviews; ensure timely corrective actions.\n\nOversee quality assurance activities, including retherm testing, returned product investigations, and audit reporting.\n\nMonitor production inputs, processes, and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.\n\nCompile, analyze, and report operational, quality, and compliance data to leadership and regulatory bodies.\n\nSupport new product development, specifications, and production procedures, including client taste testing as required.\n\nCollaborate closely with Production, Purchasing, and Food Services leadership to support operational success.\n\nPromote a culture of continuous improvement across processes, work methods, and procedures.\n\nLead training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development; maintain accurate training records.\n\nProvide leadership to a large, unionized workforce, including staffing, scheduling, performance management, and discipline.\n\nEnforce occupational health and safety and WHMIS requirements; ensure safe work practices, PPE use, and incident reporting.\n\nAdminister collective agreements, company policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.\n\nLiaise with internal teams, suppliers, and government or ministry stakeholders as required.\n\nAssume senior leadership responsibilities, including acting for the Assistant Director of Food Services, as required.\n\nPerform additional related duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nFood and Nutrition Services Diploma from an approved Community College and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities are required.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office 2000 (Word, Excel, Outlook)\n\nProven ability to work independently and take initiative.\n\nThorough working knowledge of food service IT systems (preferably FoodCo).\n\nDemonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing work routines or priorities.\n\nMust possess excellent organizational skills.\n\nExcellent English written and verbal communication skills.\n\nPositive attitude and a genuine desire to serve customers.\n\nDemonstrated labour relations experience in a unionized setting.\n\nExceptional interpersonal skills required.\n\nAbility to work as a member of a team.\n\nAdvanced FST a must.\n\nValid Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract meeting company safety criteria.\n\nSuccessful completion of vulnerable sector check, criminal record check and other security clearances are required for employment in this role.\n\nWe are dedicated to employment equity and continuously strive to enhance our diversity and inclusion practices, fostering a respectful and collaborative workforce.
