The role requires physical labor, attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.\nResponsibilities\nReceiving & Inbound Logistics\nReceive incoming shipments and deliveries.\nUnload trucks, containers, and trailers.\nVerify shipment quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.\nInspect received goods for damage, defects, or shortages.\nReport discrepancies or damaged materials.\nSign and process shipping and receiving documentation.\nLabel and identify incoming inventory.\nPut away stock into designated storage locations\nInventory Management\nMaintain accurate inventory records.\nConduct cycle counts and physical inventory counts.\nJob Description - 1 | P a g e\nMonitor stock levels and report shortages.\nReplenish inventory locations.\nEnsure proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO as required).\nTrack inventory movements and transactions.\nInvestigate inventory discrepancies\nOrder Picking & Fulfillment\nPick customer orders accurately from storage locations.\nGather products according to pick lists or work orders.\nVerify item numbers, quantities, and specifications.\nConsolidate orders for shipment.\nStage orders for packing and delivery.\nPacking & Shipping\nPackage products to prevent damage during transit.\nPrepare customer orders for shipment.\nCreate and apply shipping labels.\nComplete shipping documentation.\nLoad outbound freight onto trucks and trailers.\nCoordinate with carriers and transportation providers.\nGenerate tracking information and shipping reports.\nMaterial Handling\nOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.\nMove products, materials, and supplies throughout the facility.\nLoad and unload pallets.\nStack and wrap pallets.\nSecure loads for transportation.\nQuality Control\nInspect products for quality and accuracy.\nIdentify damaged or defective items.\nQuarantine non-conforming materials.\nEnsure orders meet company quality standards.\nAssist with audits and inventory reconciliations.\nMaintain product traceability where required.\nWarehouse Organization\nOrganize inventory and storage areas.\nMaintain proper warehouse layout.\nKeep shelves, racks, bins, and storage locations orderly.\nEnsure products are stored correctly and safely.\nAssist in warehouse rearrangements and space optimization.\nMaintain proper labeling and signage.\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow company safety policies and procedures.\nWear required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nMaintain clean and hazard-free work areas.\nParticipate in safety meetings and training.\nReport unsafe conditions and incidents.\nFollow regulatory requirements and company operating standards.\nAssist with workplace inspections and audits.\nEquipment & Facility Maintenance\nPerform daily equipment inspections.\nReport equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.\nKeep tools and equipment in good working condition.\nMaintain warehouse cleanliness.\nRemove waste and recycling materials.\nSupport housekeeping and facility upkeep activities.\nAdministrative Duties\nEnter inventory transactions into warehouse systems.\nComplete receiving, shipping, and inventory documentation.\nMaintain records of shipments and receipts.\nPrepare reports and tracking logs.\nUse warehouse management systems (WMS), scanners, and computer software.\nAssist with data entry and inventory reconciliation,\nTeam & Customer Support\nWork collaboratively with warehouse staff and Manager.\nCoordinate with purchasing, operations, transportation, and customer service teams.\nAssist with customer pickups.\nResolve shipping and receiving issues.\nSupport training of new warehouse associates when required.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n2-3 years’ experience.\nCertification or enrollment in a post-secondary warehousing program.\nKnowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.\nWorking knowledge in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and data entry software; prior experience with a warehouse management information system is a plus.\nValid class 5 driver’s license with clean 5-year driving abstract.\nAbility to operate material handling equipment - fork lift & power jacks .\nExperience in the coordination of physical inventory counts.\nKnowledge of materials used in the manufacture of mobile structures.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent organizational and customer service skills.\nAn aptitude for working with numbers and detailed paperwork.\nAbility to work well with others in a fast-paced team environment.\nStrong focus on safety, quality of work and environmental awareness.\nWorking Conditions\nAvailable to work on a rotational schedule to meet operational requirements.\nPhysical dexterity to walk, stand, sit, kneel, band and lift up to 50 lbs.\nOvertime as required.\nFrequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.\nWorking in varying temperatures and warehouse environments.\nWe are dedicated to employment equity and continuously strive to enhance our diversity and inclusion practices, fostering a respectful and collaborative workforce.
