Your primary responsibility will be to manage a team of software engineers, taking ownership of both the team’s happiness and their delivery efforts. If you enjoy both leadership and technical elements of software engineering, this role would be a great fit.\nResponsibilities:\nRecruit, support and manage a team of software engineers. \nHelp your team deliver high-quality products by addressing problems and providing the support they need. \nLead by example in your engineering work and encourage good working practices across the team. \nDesign, develop, deploy and maintain software products. \nCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to identify requirements and develop technical solutions. \nTake part in code reviews, give constructive feedback and improve the quality of the team's code. \nTroubleshoot complex issues using log analysis, profiling tools, and collaborative debugging techniques. \nContribute to documentation and decisions on team processes and tools. \nImplement continuous integration & continuous deployment pipelines for automated testing, build, and deployment processes.\nRequirements\nExperience in recruiting, coaching and mentoring software engineers. \nDeep knowledge of modern software development practices such as agile development, continuous delivery, automated testing, security, and observability. \nExperience using engineering metrics to understand and improve software quality and team delivery. \nAble to help your team through ambiguity. \nBuild strong relationships with business stakeholders. \nProficient in writing high-quality, readable, secure, and maintainable code. \nStrong understanding of computer science concepts, data structures, and algorithms. \nStrong knowledge of testing principles and practices; experience writing and automating tests. \nExperience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure). \nKnowledge of observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing) and monitoring tools. \nUnderstanding of security best practices and secure coding principles. \nBenefits\nWhy You'll Love Working with Us\n\nAs a company, we're passionate about what we do and the citizens we serve.
