This team are based out of our Belfast office but these roles can be performed fully remotely.\nWhy you’ll love this opportunity as an NHS Payroll Controller at Civica\nAs a NHS Payroll Controller at Civica, you'll play a vital role in ensuring thousands of NHS employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting organisations that deliver essential healthcare services across the UK. You'll take ownership of the full payroll lifecycle, working closely with NHS Trusts, HMRC and NHS Pensions, while building specialist expertise in ESR, the NHS's national payroll system. This is a varied, customer-focused role that combines technical payroll knowledge, stakeholder management and problem-solving, offering plenty of opportunities to develop your skills within a supportive and collaborative team environment\nRequirements\nAn understanding of Payroll legislation (essential) \nA working knowledge of statutory deductions and how these are calculated (essential) \nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (essential) \nAbility to prioritise and remain calm under pressure (essential) Understand the need to follow established processes and run sheets as set out by our NHS Specialist Team. \nAbility to use own initiative and lead within a team \nAbility to think logically and solve problems effectively\nResponsibilities\nTo key and check and process payroll input \nTo produce monthly reporting for the client and submit BACS upon authorization \nProducing scheduled payroll reports and payslips \nTo ensure all payments are processed accurately and on time according to the agreed schedules \nTo handle client queries in a professional and friendly manner with agreed resolutions and outcomes \nTo maintain communication with 3rd parties such as HMRC, NHS Pensions and Courts. \nTo process year end returns accurately and on time \nTo ensure compliance to all legislative requirements\nExperience / Qualifications\nEducated to GCSE level (or equivalent) including Maths and English\nExperience working in a customer-focused environment\nStrong organisational and time management skills\nExcellent interpersonal abilities\nMethodical and analytical working style\nExceptional attention to detail\nWe Want You to Bring Your Whole Self to Work\nThere is no such thing as the perfect candidate, so if you think you have what it takes but don't necessarily meet every single point on the list above, please still get in touch.
