This SSE will be primarily responsible for working on our Civica Polling Station (CPS) application.\nThe successful candidate will be part of a team who are developing new and innovative public cloud products as well being responsible for maintaining the existing and established Election related software, investigating, fixing and testing existing software problems.\nRequirements\nAnalyse new requirements and provide impact analysis addressing technical design and identifying individual tasks\nArchitect, design and implement solutions to meet the requirements. \nDesign and coding of new functionality \nCommunication of technical details that impact fulfilment of requirements. \nIterative development of software with responsiveness to constructive feedback. \nProvide 3rd line application support against agreed service levels including the implementation of bug fixes \nDevelop and maintain code to a high standard within IT development and maintenance projects.\nTroubleshoot and problem-solve support issues as they arise and as directed by the Development Lead and/or Technical architect. \nCode reviews of the work of peers in the group. \nPerform unit testing of work. \nWrite documentation and comment code as required. \nEnsure code is properly version-controlled. \nComply with corporate test processes and ISO 9001 Quality Management System. \nSupervise and mentor junior staff \nAbility to travel to London on request (once a month minimum) \nAccountable for the quality of your software \nCode reviews of peers software\nRequirements\nProactive personality and able to work autonomously \nExceptional oral and written communication skills \nGood team player.\nThe ability to work to agreed deadlines \nAbility to work at detailed and abstract levels \nAbility to guide junior team members. \nSelf-learner \nTrack record of delivering commitments on time and quality \nEffective and security focussed use of AI Coding Agents \nMust have minimum 5+ years of relevant experience \n.Net Core using C# \nASP.Net MVC using C#.Net \nJavaScript / jQuery / TypeScript / AJAX \nHTML, CSS \nDatabase (SQL Server) \nClient-side JS Framework (React) \nWeb API / WCF / Web Services \nUnit Testing Framework (XUnit/ NUnit/ MSTest)\nThis role will require you to be on site in our London office once a month.\nWe Want You to Bring Your Whole Self to Work\nThere is no such thing as the perfect candidate, so if you think you have what it takes but don't necessarily meet every single point on the list above, please still get in touch.
