In this role, you will contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of VIEW, a business-critical justice platform that supports the delivery of essential services for our customers.\nWorking as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, you will design, develop, test and support high-quality software solutions, leveraging your expertise in Microsoft .NET technologies alongside modern engineering practices, including cloud platforms, APIs, Docker and microservices. You will play a key role in evolving the platform while ensuring its security, reliability, scalability and performance.\nAs a senior member of the team, you will provide technical leadership, contribute to architectural and design decisions, mentor colleagues and champion engineering best practices\nWhat You Will Do\nDesign, develop, test and maintain high-quality software solutions using .NET and SQL.\nBuild secure, scalable APIs and modern service-based architectures.\nContribute to cloud-ready and cloud-native application designs.\nDevelop and support containerised applications using Docker.\nParticipate in solution design, estimation and technical planning activities.\nDrive code quality through peer reviews and engineering best practices.\nSupport platform modernisation initiatives while maintaining customer commitments.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions.\nMentor and support developers through code reviews, knowledge sharing and technical guidance.\nContribute to troubleshooting, performance optimisation and production issue resolution.\nRequirements\nWhat You'll Bring\nEssential Skills & Experience\nStrong commercial experience developing enterprise applications using C# and Microsoft .NET.\nExperience designing and developing RESTful APIs.\nPractical experience with Docker and containerised applications.\nStrong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, source control and CI/CD.\nExperience working with relational databases and application integration.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.\nExperience providing technical leadership and mentoring within a development team.\nDesirable Experience\nModernising large-scale .NET applications and legacy platforms.\nMicroservices architecture and distributed systems.\nCloud platforms and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.\nEvent-driven and asynchronous integration patterns.\nObservability, monitoring, logging and performance optimisation.\nInfrastructure as Code and automated environment provisioning.\nExperience working on government, justice, courts, case management or highly regulated systems.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.\nRelevant Microsoft, Cloud, Container or Software Engineering certifications are advantageous.\nBenefits\nWhy you'll love working with us\nWe know that when our people are happy, they will work better and have greater work satisfaction.
