You design systems; not just implement them. Grow your career alongside great people, where authenticity is welcome, successes are celebrated, and potential is nurtured.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a Senior Platform Engineer, you will:\nOwn the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of platform domains (e.g., the CI/CD platform, the Kubernetes platform, or the cloud foundations layer).\nArchitect and implement cloud landing zones, network topologies, and identity frameworks for new product lines or environments.\nDefine and enforce IaC standards and module design patterns across the Platform Engineering team.\nLead production incident response for P0/P1 platform incidents; drive post-incident reviews with actionable remediation.\nDrive automation initiatives that reduce toil for platform engineers and product teams.\nMentor and provide technical code review for L1 and L2 engineers.\nPartner with SRE on reliability reviews for new platform components.\nContribute to platform roadmap planning with independently identified opportunities and risks.\nEvaluate and recommend new tools, services, and frameworks for adoption.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe know that excellent candidates come from diverse backgrounds. Even if you don’t meet 100% of the listed requirements, we encourage you to apply!\n5-8 years of engineering experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or cloud operations with a track record of owning production systems end-to-end.\nExpert-level Terraform: module authoring, state management, remote backends, and governance.\nProduction Kubernetes expertise: cluster lifecycle, networking (CNI), storage, security policies, and multi-tenancy.\nStrong multi-cloud experience (AWS and Azure preferred).\nProficiency in Python or Go for automation and tooling development.\nExperience designing CI/CD architectures for large engineering organizations.\nAI-forward mindset with a demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and work quality.\nDemonstrated ability to effectively use AI tools to enhance productivity and outcomes.\nCompensation and Benefits\nEstimated Salary Grade Range: $104,400 - $156,600 The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and is based on a 40-hour work week.\n\nIf applicable - Potential Variable Pay: Based on set quotas or goals or targets (Select the most appropriate)\nBenefits: Comprehensive health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, Flexible Time Off, 401(k) plan, and more.\nOur Hiring Process\nIntroductory call with Talent Acquisition\nInterview with the Hiring Manager\nPanel Interview with CivicPlus team members, including an interview project activity\nOffer\nNote: The process may vary slightly depending on the role.\nAdditional Information\nCivicPlus is currently unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position now or in the future.
