Our people are our priority - and that’s what drives us to dig deeper, collaborate smarter, and build lasting relationships inside and outside of our company.\nKey Responsibilities:\nManage civil/site development and solid waste engineering projects from proposal through construction, including oversight of scope, schedule, budget, and quality control\nLead the design and review of site layout, grading, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion control for commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional developments\nOversee solid waste facility design elements such as landfill liner systems, leachate and stormwater infrastructure, gas collection systems, site roadways, and support facilities\nPrepare and oversee technical reports, permit applications, plans, specifications, cost estimates, solid waste management plans, and construction documents\nCoordinate regulatory permitting and agency review processes at the local, state, and federal levels\nSupport construction-phase services, including construction quality assurance (CQA) as applicable\nPerform QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, engineering standards, and client expectations\nServe as a primary client contact and collaborate with contractors, subconsultants, and internal teams\nMentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff, supporting professional development and performance growth\nParticipate in business development activities, including proposal preparation, scope development, and strategic client growth initiatives\nOur Johnson City office sits in the heart of Northeast Tennessee, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains. With easy access to hiking, lakes, and scenic drives, plus a growing downtown and vibrant community culture, Johnson City offers a high quality of life and a welcoming environment for professionals looking to live and grow in a small-city setting.\nQualifications\n7+ years of progressive experience in civil/site development and/or solid waste engineering within a consulting environment\nBachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred\nProfessional Engineer (P.E.) licensure required, with Tennessee licensure or ability to obtain\nExperience managing projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination\nExperience with permitting and regulatory coordination for civil and/or solid waste facilities\nProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with stormwater modeling tools such as HydroCAD or HEC-RAS preferred\nStrong knowledge of consulting project delivery, including proposal development and profitable project execution\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report and proposal writing\nExperience mentoring and developing staff, with demonstrated leadership skills\nPreferred Capabilities\nActive participation in professional organizations or client-focused industry groups\nExperience leading complex civil or solid waste projects\nEstablished relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders\nAbout Us\nWe have experts!
