This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of municipal water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, water treatment facilities, and groundwater well systems. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers while taking on increasing ownership of project delivery, mentoring junior staff, and helping shape innovative solutions for our clients.\nWhat You'll Do\nAssist senior engineers with the planning, design, project management, and construction support of municipal water infrastructure projects.\n\nLead the design of potable water pipelines, pumping systems, and water treatment facilities from concept through construction.\n\nPrepare engineering calculations, hydraulic analyses, technical reports, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.\n\nPerform hydraulic modeling and analyses, including pump selection, system head loss calculations, pipeline sizing, and evaluation of system performance.\n\nOversee and mentor junior engineers, review technical work, and perform quality control on project deliverables.\n\nCoordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.\n\nProvide engineering support during construction by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, evaluating design modifications, and resolving field issues.\n\nCollaborate with senior engineers to develop practical, cost-effective solutions that meet hydraulic, environmental, regulatory, and operational requirements.\n\nRequirements\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license in California.\n\n5-7 years of experience designing municipal potable water systems.\n\nExperience designing water pipelines, pump stations, and related infrastructure.\n\nProficiency with AutoCAD.\n\nStrong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality deliverables.\n\nA genuine desire to continue learning, growing technically, and contributing to a collaborative engineering team.\n\nPreferred\nExperience with groundwater well equipping projects.\n\nExperience designing chemical dosing systems.\n\nExperience with potable water treatment systems, including:\nIon Exchange\n\nGranular Activated Carbon (GAC)\n\nWhy Civiltec?\nAt Civiltec, you'll work on meaningful infrastructure projects that improve communities while enjoying a collaborative culture, strong work-life balance, and opportunities for professional growth.
