Receivable Clerk\n\nSofina is seeking a results-driven and detailed-orientated Payroll/Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their Finance department at their Hanover, Ontario location on a 12 month Contract.\n\nMore specifically, the successful candidate will: \n\nPayroll\nProcess weekly hourly payroll\nProvide income information to Human Resources as requested\nMaintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data\nUpdate and maintain payroll records for all employees\nPrepare and amend ROEs as needed\nReview and prepare T4 slips annually\nResponsible for reconciling and submitting annual statutory deduction remittances\nComplete G/L account reconciliation for all payroll accounts\nPay monthly WSIB premiums\nPrepare month end reports for Finance, Human Resources, and the Union\nAll other duties as assigned\n\nAccounts Receivable\nPrepare bank deposits for EFT and cheque payments\nVerifies validity of payment discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers\nResolves invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures\nVerifies validity of customer systems/process\nAll other duties as assigned\n\nKey Qualifications\nPrevious work in Business Administration, or a related field is an asset.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nExcellent organizational and time management abilities.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office suite – specifically Excel \nKnowledge of all aspects of payroll.\nAttention to detail and problem-solving
