write test reports; check parts and completed work for conformity with government, export, quality control and other customer specifications; and perform other related duties as assigned.\n\nReports to:\nFinal Assembly Lead/Assembly Manager\n\nExamples of Duties and Responsibilities:\nReview work orders and inspect bill of materials, engineering drawings and parts for special instructions; \nEvaluate special instructions from engineering drawings; \nInterface with quality control inspectors; \nOrder parts from stock; \nWrite stock requisitions and reject slips; \nTest all production valves and components; \nUse power tools and large saws; \nFollow engineering and sales order special instructions; \nBend tubing as specified and required per valve; \nRead dimensions; \nRead blueprints and schematics; and\nKeep equipment and work area clean and safe;\nRegular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position; and\nFully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations; \n\nQUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:\nAny combination equivalent of, but not limited to, the following:\n\nExperience/Training/Education:\nConsiderable experience in all assembly areas;\nTrained in valve assemblies and production components; \nSome experience in electro-mechanical assembly; \nTrained to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings; \nTrained in all company products and components; \nTrained in bill of materials, stock requisitions and related inter-departmental communications; \nTrained in safety and hazardous materials handling procedures; and\nTrained in safe forklift operations where required.\n\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:\nAbility to assemble and inspect parts for conformity to quality control standards; \nAbility to write results of government testing procedures in test reports; \nAbility to operate bending tools with efficiency and accuracy; \nAbility to use air guns, air drills, power metal saws, flaring machine, tube cutter, grinders and related power tools and machines; \nAbility to set up and organize work; \nAbility to read and interpret wire lists and electrical schematics; \nAbility to adjust specifications to meet customer demands; \nAbility to identify assembly materials, such as elbows, nipples, and bustlings; \nAbility to differentiate tubing by metal, size, grade, and quantity; \nAbility to analyze testing failures and solve problems; \nAbility to participate in final inspection work; \nAbility to communicate modifications to engineering; \nAbility to test and implement test valve changes and unique customer requirements; and \nAbility to work cooperatively with co-workers and related department representatives.\n\nPhysical Requirements: \nAbility to bend, reach, stretch, lift, and move materials weighing less than 25 pounds;\nAbility to perform essential functions of the job, as defined;
