Coordinates and expedites the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with the production and shipping schedules and performs other related duties, as assigned.\n\nReports to:\n\nProduction Control Manager\n\nExamples of Duties and Responsibilities:\nProcesses pick list following the Customer Pick List Procedure;\nProcesses transfer orders pick list following the Transfer Order Pick List Procedure;\nReviews & processes emails as they come in during the day;\nProcesses emergency rush orders following the Emergency Rush Order Procedure;\nChecks high visibility customer orders;\nProcesses change orders following the Change Order Procedure;\nProcesses order verifications following the Order Verification Procedure;\nProcesses transfer orders following the Transfer Orders Procedure;\nChecks new orders for projected dates which are over 30 days out;\nProcesses ECOs;\nReviews and processes BOM errors as needed;\nReviews scrap parts for replacement;\nRegular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position; and\nFully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:\nAny combination equivalent of but not limited to the following:\n\nExperience/Training/Education:\nBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred, or equivalent experience, and minimum of three years’ experience in production control methods, scheduling and manufacturing processes required.\nExperience with and a demonstrable knowledge ERP/MRP system(s); and\nProven experience in a planning role.\n\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:\nKnowledge of production management and material control system applications and software programs; \nKnowledge of expediting methods and techniques;\nAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with staff and various departmental representatives; \nAbility to monitor and coordinate assignment of assigned sales orders to meet production and delivery schedules; \nComputer literate;\nKnowledge of inventory control practices;\nFluent in Microsoft Office suite;\nDemonstrable excellent interpersonal communication skills;\nStrong organization and problem-solving skills;\nMust be a strong team player; and\nMust be detailed-oriented.\n\n Physical Requirements:\nAbility to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, filing cabinets, photocopiers and other office equipment, as applicable; \nMost work tasks are performed indoors where temperature is moderate and controlled by office environment systems;\nAbility to work (sit and/or stand) at a desk for majority of the work day; walking and/or standing may be required for the remainder of the work day.
