The brand headquarters is located in the Atwater Village/Frogtown area of Los Angeles and is actively led by Clare Vivier.\nSummary:\nThe Merchandise Planner supports the development and execution of merchandise sales, inventory, and margin strategies to drive business performance and achieve corporate financial goals. This role partners closely with Merchandising, Finance, Production, Marketing, Wholesale, and cross-functional teams to provide timely analysis, actionable insights, and strategic recommendations that support inventory optimization and sales growth.\nThe ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of three days in the Los Angeles headquarters per week.\nResponsibilities:\nFinancial Planning & Inventory Management\nAssist in developing financial merchandise sales and inventory plans that support corporate targets by department, store, and category\nAnalyze weekly and monthly performance of sales, margin, and inventory turns against plan and forecast\nAssist in the creation and maintenance of departmental Open-to-Buty (OTB) plans, including accurate forecasting of sales, inventory, and receipt plans by category\nDevelop seasonal plans by analyzing historical data, current trends, risks, and opportunities\nCreate and manage reorders by evaluating stock levels and sales forecasts for Core Program categories\nSupport inventory optimization and replenishment strategies to maximize sales and minimize inventory risk\nReporting & Business Analysis\nPartner with Merchandising teams to conduct business reviews highlighting trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations\nPartner with Wholesale teams to report sales performance and bookings\nCreate and recap plans for key promotional and liquidation strategies\nCreate, update, and maintain ad hoc reports, analysis, and business recaps as needed\nIdentify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve planning processes and reporting tools\nCross Functional Collaboration\nManage Buy Creation uploads into internal systems in partnership with Merchandising and Production teams\nBuild strong cross-functional relationships to support business objectives and execute planning strategies effectively\nCollaborate with Finance, Merchandising, Productions, Marketing, Wholesale, and Operations teams to support overall company performance\nRequirements\nSkills & Experience:\nBachelor's degree \n3-5 years of experience in merchandise planning, buying, inventory management, financial planning, or related field\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs\nStrong attention to detail with excellent follow-through skills\nExcellent organizational and communication skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment\nAbility to work collaboratively and productively in a team environment\nProfessional, positive, and solution-oriented attitude\nPreferred\nExperience in retail, fashion, accessories, or consumer goods industries\nExperience with ERP systems, reporting tools, or merchandise planning software\nUnderstanding of merchandising, inventory flow, assortment planning, and retail financial metrics\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer, reviewing reports, and analyzing data\nFrequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment\nAbility to communicate effectively in person, via phone, email, and video conferencing\nAbility to visually review reports, spreadsheets, product information, and financial data with close attention to detail\nOccasional movement throughout office, showroom, or warehouse areas for meetings, product reviews, or cross-functional collaboration\nAbility to occasionally lift, carry, and/or move office materials or product samples up to 15 pounds\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.\nAdditional Information:\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed and is not an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications\nDuties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice based on business needs\nStudio Life & Culture:\nThis position is based out of our Frogtown Studio Offices, located in one of L.A.’s most vibrant and creative neighborhoods-known for its arts scene, local cafes, and laid-back riverside charm.\nFor our studio-based team members, we foster a work environment that supports creativity, connection, and community.\nA fully stocked kitchen with healthy snacks and beverages\nMonthly catered lunches to bring the team together\nQuarterly team-building events, including meaningful volunteer outings throughout the Los Angeles community\nCompensation & Perks:\nPay range of $80K -$100K annually , along with annual cost-of-living increases, end-of-year bonus opportunities, and generous employee discounts.
