Additionally, the AI Engineer serves as a technical mentor and subject matter expert for junior team members.\nWhat You'll Do (Impact Areas)\nAI Solution Design & Development\nDesign, build, and deploy AI assistants and intelligent agents that support engineering activities such as requirements analysis, design reviews, test creation, and technical documentation.\nDevelop solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent frameworks, and automation technologies.\nCreate scalable architectures that combine AI capabilities with traditional software engineering approaches.\nDevelop maintainable, secure, tested, and version-controlled code, prompts, and configurations. \nRapid Prototyping & Innovation\nConvert engineering ideas into working prototypes within days.\nBuild reusable AI components, templates, connectors, and frameworks that accelerate future development.\nConduct demonstrations, pilot programs, and user validation sessions with engineering stakeholders.\nEvaluate prototype feasibility and guide go/no-go decisions using data and business value assessments. \nQuality, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement\nDesign and execute evaluation frameworks to measure AI solution performance.\nMonitor key quality metrics including accuracy, consistency, useful output rates, and false-alarm rates.\nConduct validation, regression testing, and performance assessments following engineering quality standards.\nContinuously improve deployed solutions through user feedback, monitoring, and analysis. \nResponsible AI, judgment \nWhat You Bring (Qualifications)\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.\nMaster's degree in AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. \nExperience\n5+ years of software engineering experience.\n2+ years of hands-on experience developing AI solutions using Large Language Models.\nProven experience designing and implementing AI applications utilizing RAG, agents, tool integration, and structured outputs.\nExperience working within engineering-intensive or regulated environments is preferred. \nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced Python and SQL proficiency.\nHands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or similar AI platforms.\nExperience evaluating AI solutions through testing frameworks, human reviews, and regression testing.\nStrong understanding of Git, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud deployment.\nAbility to translate engineering requirements into practical AI solutions.\nExperience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies preferred.\nFamiliarity with ASPICE, ISO 26262, automotive engineering processes, or responsible AI frameworks is considered a plus. \nLanguages\nFluent English and Spanish.\nStrong communication,
