Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this individual will play a significant role in advancing both the department’s technical capabilities and the broader organization’s development.\nHow you will do it:\nLeads negotiation of customer specifications as the primary electronics interface.\nInstructs the team in the review of industry standards, regulatory standards and internal design guidelines to establish electrical product requirements.\nLeads requirements analysis and validation planning activities in accordance with automotive functional safety and ASPICE processes without guidance.\nLeads design verification activities such as engineering analysis, simulation, design reviews, DFMEAs, validation testing and reporting in accordance with automotive functional safety and ASPICE processes without guidance.\nLeads design direction for core and customer electronic circuit designs covering analog, digital, micro-controller architecture, DCDC converters, and design of power semiconductor circuits.\nLeads the team in the generation of technical requirements of electrical architecture and electrical circuit design, components and sub-assemblies including PCBA, contactors, fans, temperature sensors, Flex PCBs and other electrical hardware.\nLeads the team in the generation of hardware / software interface specifications and electronic test software requirements, working closely with the embedded software engineering team.\nLeads design and test for vehicle level electrical and electromagnetic performance per customer requirements. Optimize the electrical system design to balance cost, performance, mass, volume, and energy efficiency.\nReviewer of electrical design analyses and test results in support of design verification.\nDefine test setups, plans, and execute tests for electrical circuits and components.\nDirects suppliers to deliver components to specifications and costs.\nEnsures the design for manufacturability (DFM) to ensure that the design is optimized for manufacturing processes.\nLeads electronic project team to develop electronics according to process requirements, best practices, and timing plan.
