You will plan, direct, coordinate and control manufacturing activities in assigned work area to achieve established management goals.\nShift: 2nd Shift -2:30 PM - 11:30 PM\nHow you will do it:\nTrains production personnel to perform work assignments safely and efficiently.\nMaintains good employee relations through coaching and consistent application of employee relation policies.\nRequisitions operating personnel to meet established goals.\nMay maintain accurate database information regarding employee training and certification.\nAdministers production salary/wage policy for operating personnel properly.\nAdministers and enforces health, environmental and safety standards, work practices and housekeeping policies and procedures.\nArranges for proper maintenance of machines and equipment.\nReports daily KPI indicators, including production, scrap, safety, and quality\nInvestigates material variances, reports results of investigation and recommends improvements.\nSolicits and encourages process, procedure and equipment improvements from team members.\nMay audit Standard Work Practices for each area and regularly reviews them for effectiveness through team meetings and practice.\nAssign work to meet daily manufacturing requirements and control labor and material usage to meet or improve standard costs.\nFamiliarize personnel with Company rules and regulations.\nRecommend improvements on machines, equipment, job methods and procedures.\nOvertime is required to meet internal and external customer requirements.\nWhat we look for:\nRequired\nMinimum 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment required.\nMinimum 1+ year managing employees in manufacturing setting required.\nProficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required \nStrong interpersonal skills and decision making ability\nMust be able to work any assigned shift and required overtime. \nPreferred\nExperience applying Lean manufacturing, 5S, utilizing Six Sigma is desirable\nBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field required. \nPrevious Lead Acid battery experience is helpful but not required.\nToledo - Fully Integrated Plant\nOur Toledo, Ohio fully integrated plant manufactures batteries used in automotive and marine applications.
