This role will manage and support manufacturing projects of varying size and complexity, providing system design deliverables and technical expertise for assigned assembly equipment and processes.\nThe Engineer will develop and implement process specification changes, create and update Operator and Maintenance Work Instructions, and maintain Assembly Process Flow Charts and PFMEA documentation. This position will also develop into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned assembly equipment and manufacturing processes.\nHow you will do it\nProvide high-level troubleshooting support to Maintenance and Operations teams to resolve complex equipment and manufacturing issues in a timely manner.\nParticipate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement upgrades to existing equipment, including PLC programming, electrical controls, and mechanical modifications.\nImplement process changes to existing equipment and support the development, installation, and launch of production expansion equipment.\nPartner with Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure manufacturing processes and equipment meet applicable requirements and standards.\nServe as Project Engineer for small and capital development projects that have a significant impact on business objectives.\nPrepare and present project review information to team members, supervisors, managers, directors, and other appropriate leadership.\nCommunicate with plant manufacturing employees to align project priorities and identify barriers affecting production performance.\nDevelop equipment functional statements of work and equipment acceptance test plans.\nTravel to equipment supplier locations to perform equipment qualification, testing, and acceptance evaluations.\nSupport the development and continuous improvement of assembly processes, work instructions, Process Flow Charts, and PFMEAs.\nWhat we look for\nA hands-on manufacturing engineer with strong controls and automation experience who can troubleshoot complex production equipment, lead technical projects, and collaborate effectively across Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Safety teams.\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Controls, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.\n5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.\nExperience accessing, troubleshooting, and editing machine PLC code using ladder logic and/or structured text with RSLogix/Studio 5000.\nExperience with industrial automation technologies, including robotic programming such as FANUC, ABB, or similar systems, HMIs, industrial networks, drives, and control panels.\nAbility to troubleshoot electrical and controls systems and support control-panel design.\nAbility to power up electrical systems and configure hardware according to application specifications.\nAbility to interpret electrical, mechanical, structural, and instrumentation engineering drawings.\nWorking knowledge of vision systems.\nUnderstanding of Functional Safety and relevant IEC, ANSI, and ISA standards.\nPreferred\nExperience with IT systems in a manufacturing environment.\nKnowledge of emerging technologies, including AI and manufacturing data applications.\nExperience with 3D modeling and 2D drafting tools, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.\nExperience managing capital projects and equipment installations.\nExperience with equipment qualification and acceptance testing.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience with Minitab.\nSix Sigma knowledge or certification.\nApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; Clarios will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visas for this opportunity.\nWhat we do here\nSt. Joseph - Distribution Center\nOur St. Joseph, Missouri distribution center charges, packages, and ships the batteries used in cars, boats, motorcycles, and heavy-duty trucks.
