This role is based in a manufacturing facility and works closely with Maintenance, Operations, TPM, Accounts Payable, and external suppliers to ensure materials, tools, and services are available when needed. The position plays a critical role in keeping production running efficiently by maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting maintenance activities, and driving continuous improvement within the stockroom.\nWhat Does Success Look Like\nMaintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock control processes, and ERP transactions, achieving target inventory accuracy levels.\nEnsure materials, replacement parts, tools, and supplies are available to support production, maintenance, and TPM activities without disruption.\nCoordinate purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and order follow-up to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective procurement.\nSupport receiving, shipping, and material handling processes while maintaining safety, quality, and 5S standards.\nUtilize ERP systems, Microsoft Office tools, and reporting processes to track inventory, purchasing activity, and shift-to-shift communication.\nDrive continuous improvement through Lean and 5S initiatives that improve stockroom organization, efficiency, service levels, and inventory control.\nWhat We Look For\nRequired\nMinimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with inventory control, stockroom operations, purchasing, or material management responsibilities.\nWorking knowledge of inventory management, receiving, cycle counting, material handling, and ERP systems.\nProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.\nUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred\nAssociate's degree or technical degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or related field.\nExperience with MAXIMO or similar maintenance/inventory management systems.\nPurchasing, supplier management, negotiation, and forklift operation experience.\nFort Wayne - Distribution Center\nOur Fort Wayne, Indiana distribution center charges, packages and ships the batteries used in cars, boats, motorcycles, and heavy-duty trucks.
