Our Series A was led by Northzone, with participation from General Catalyst, AlleyCorp, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Texas Medical Center Ventures, and 1984 Ventures.\nThe Opportunity\nEvery hospital system Clarium onboards comes with its own tangle of ERP, inventory, and EHR systems and getting that data flowing reliably into Astra OS is what makes everything else possible. As we grow across more health systems, we need an engineer who can own that work end to end, directly with the customer.\nWe're hiring a Data Integration Engineer to own the technical side of customer data integrations for hospital systems and their suppliers. You'll work directly with customers to understand their systems and bring integrations into production, designing reliable ingestion and transformation workflows along the way. You'll partner closely with data engineers and product managers to iterate on the customer data feeds that power end-user features, ensure integrations are correct and production-ready, and build reusable connectors and internal tools that make future integrations faster and more scalable.\nThis role goes beyond traditional backend engineering. Success requires comfort with ambiguity, unfamiliar systems, and frequent customer interaction, along with full ownership of production systems. If you enjoy building robust systems and staying close to the customer problems they solve, this is a strong fit.\nIn This Role You Will\nLead technical discovery sessions with hospital IT and supply chain teams to understand source systems, data structures, and integration requirements\n\nDesign, build, and own production data pipelines that ingest and transform data from customer ERP, supply chain, and operational systems into Clarium's platform\n\nTroubleshoot integration failures in live customer environments from schema mismatches to authentication issues to upstream data quality problems\n\nBuild reusable connectors and integration patterns that reduce onboarding time for future customers\n\nPartner with product and engineering to translate field learnings into platform improvements\n\nMaintain clear documentation and runbooks so integrations are supportable at scale\n\nCommunicate integration status, risks, and timelines clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n4+ years of professional software engineering experience\n\nStrong Python and SQL skills; you write production code, not just scripts\n\nHands-on experience building and operating data pipelines or system integrations in a production environment\n\nComfort working directly with external customers or stakeholders; you can run a technical discovery call, manage expectations, and communicate clearly under pressure\n\nA builder's instinct: you figure things out in ambiguous environments, read documentation, and don't wait to be unblocked\n\nExperience with REST APIs, webhooks, SFTP, or similar data exchange patterns\n\nStrong written and verbal communication; you can explain a technical problem to a non-technical audience without losing the substance\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) or EHR/ERP systems (Epic, Cerner, Workday, Oracle, Infor)\n\nFamiliarity with healthcare supply chain or hospital operations\n\nPrior experience at an early-stage startup\n\nSkills & Tools You'll Use\nNeed to Know: Python · SQL · REST APIs · ETL / Data Pipelines · AWS or equivalent cloud\nNice to Know: HL7 · FHIR · Epic · Cerner · Workday · Oracle · Airflow · dbt · Snowflake\nWhat You Get at Clarium\nTarget Base Salary Range: $130K - 150K\nThe base salary Clarium offers may vary depending upon the ultimate scope and responsibilities of the position and on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
