You will ensure the monitoring and analysis of events to protect People, Technology and Process addressing all security incidents and ensuring timely escalation.\nAbout You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments\nAt least 2 years of experience in the security space and/or working in a SOC environment, preferably in cloud-based product development organization.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience\nIt would be great if you also had . . .\nRelevant security certification (GIAC, ISC2, etc.)\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and promote ideas at various levels of the organization.\nStrong self-directed work habits exhibiting initiative, drive, creativity, maturity, self-assurance, professionalism, and the ability to autonomously manage multiple workstreams.\nWhat will you be doing in this role?\nMonitor and operate the SOC tools and resources and analyze internal events and investigations escalated by the managed SOC.\nContribute to regular training sessions to facilitate knowledge-sharing within the team and also contribute to the incident response efforts.\nParticipate in internal Red/Blue Team activities and discover and eliminate redundancies in the security incident response process.\nCreate new and update existing runbooks.
