This role will be responsible for the safe construction of foundations and other concrete structures on a commercial site.\nReporting to: Foreman or Superintendent\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nErect/install and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites.\n\nBuilds footings, walls, column forms, slab forms, and stair forms and parapets.\n\nRead and interpret drawings and/or receive instructions from a supervisor.\n\nCarry out a variety of carpentry services (including backing, blocking, framing, installation and other general carpentry.\n\nInstalls precast units, framing systems sheathing, exterior trims, interior/exterior doors and hardware, windows, flooring, wall coverings, washroom accessories and architectural materials\n\nExecute work with minimal supervision while working alongside a team and other sub-trades to complete projects.\n\nPerform other construction related duties as assigned.\n\nMaintaining a clean construction site.\n\nMaintain a daily log of tasks and hazard assessment cards.\n\nRepresent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.\n\nAdhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures.\n\nSkills and Knowledge:\nThe physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., as well as performing repetitive motions, bending, crouching and/or kneeling for long periods throughout the day.\n\nThe capability to work outside in extreme weather conditions depending on the season.\n\nThe ability to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks.\n\n1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th year Apprenticeship training or Journeyperson certificate.\n\nMust have concrete form work experience.\n\nQualifications:\nJourneyperson certificate or Active Apprenticeship is considered an asset.\n\nExperience working in commercial/industrialconstruction is considered an asset.\n\nValid first aid certificate an asset.\n\nValid ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset.\n\nWhat's in it for you?\nCompetitive wages and vacation pay.\n\nOpportunity to work overtime hours.\n\nEmployer RRSP Matching program.\n\nEmployee and Family Assistance (EFAP) program.\n\nComprehensive health and benefits plan.\n\nPaid Birthday Off.\n\nBoot Allowance.\n\nPartner Perks.\n\nEmployee referral program - earn a cash bonus if the candidate you refer passes their 90-day probation.\n\nComments:\nEnvironmental aspects (weather, heights, etc.) play an important role for this position since work is often outdoors.\n*Please note this is a safety sensitive position.\nReady to build your career with us?
