This role will be responsible for preparing and cleaning up construction sites, moving materials and equipment, and performing demolition, excavation and compaction activities.\nReporting to:Foreman or Superintendent\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nLoad and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas.\n\nErect/install and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites.\n\nPlace and vibrate concrete.\n\nAssist tradespersons such as carpenters and cement finishers in construction activities.\n\nLevel earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel.\n\nAssist demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean, and pile salvaged materials.\n\nOperate jack hammers and tampers as directed.\n\nPump water.\n\nMaintaining a clean construction site.\n\nMaintain organization of storage containers.\n\nAdditional duties as required.\n\nRepresent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.\n\nAdhere to Clark Builders’ policies and procedures.\n\nSkills and Knowledge:\nThe physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., as well as performing repetitive motions, bending, crouching and/or kneeling for long periods throughout the day.\n\nThe ability to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks.\n\nThe capability to work outside in various weather conditions depending on the season.\n\nThe ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.\n\nQualifications:\nExperience working in commercial/industrialconstruction is considered an asset.\n\nValid First Aid certificate an asset.\n\nValid ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset.\n\nWhat's in it for you?:\nCompetitive wages and vacation pay.\n\nLong duration project.\n\nOpportunity to work overtime hours.\n\nRRSP program.\n\nEmployee and Family Assistance (EFAP) program.\n\nComprehensive health and benefits plan.\n\nPaid Birthday Off.\n\nEmployee referral program - earn a cash bonus if the candidate you refer passes their 90-day probation.\n\nComments:\nPlease note that only local candidates will be considered.\nEnvironmental aspects (weather, heights, etc.) play an important role for this position since work is often outdoors.\n*Please note this is a safety sensitive position.
