Learn more about our Purpose and what drives us by visiting our Who We Are page.\nClark Builders is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Project Coordinator Intern to join our Operations team and support the Red Deer Regional Hospital Project.\nThis landmark project is one of the largest in Clark Builders' history and represents the largest single investment in healthcare by the Government of Alberta. The project will run from August 2024 through April 2032 and includes the construction of a new Ambulatory Care Facility, along with extensive renovations to the existing Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre.\nAll construction activities will adhere to LEED Silver sustainability standards, demonstrating our commitment to environmentally responsible building practices.\nThis student position will be part of our Operations team and will provide support to Project Managers and Superintendents across all aspects of the construction process. Responsibilities will include monitoring project plans and schedules, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, supporting project documentation, and helping ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved.\nThis is a 4-, 8-, or 12-month work term based in Red Deer, Alberta.\nReports to: Project Manager(s) and/or Superintendent(s)\nResponsibilities\nSupport project start-up activities, including tendering and bid evaluations, subcontractor kickoffs, utility and site service applications, permitting, stakeholder communication, quantity take-offs, and project scheduling.\nSupport project execution and document control activities, including Requests for Information (RFIs), Site Instructions (SIs), Submittals, Change Requests (CRXs), and Change Orders (COs).\nSupport the implementation and maintenance of the project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan.\nFacilitate, record, and distribute meeting minutes while following up on action items and commitments.\nMonitor and coordinate trade scopes of work, including tracking productivity, progress, and performance.\nAssist with on-site problem solving and support the RFI process.\nGain exposure to and support basic project accounting activities.\nAdhere to Clark Builders' policies, procedures, and safety requirements, and support others in maintaining compliance.\nSupport the development and maintenance of strong relationships with trade partners, consultants, clients, and other project stakeholders.\nParticipate in project planning, coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nSkills & Knowledge\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret complex information and recommend practical solutions.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment and manage deadline-driven tasks in a fast-paced construction setting.\nUnderstanding of Lean thinking, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement principles.\nAbility to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.\nDemonstrates Clark Builders' CORE Values:Have a Can-Do Attitude\nRespect Others\nSucceed as a Team\nLead with Courage\nDeliver Results\n\nQualifications\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.\nAn interest in construction, project coordination, and working in a field/site environment.\nPrevious construction, project coordination, or related work experience is considered an asset but is not required.\nStrong communication, organization, and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.\nFamiliarity with construction software, processes, or project management tools is considered an asset; however, prior experience is not required.\nMust be willing and able to work full-time in Red Deer, Alberta for the duration of the work term\nReady to build your career with us?
