You will lead daily coordination between our clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and our employees. The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, predicting, and managing all the technical tasks to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality for the lifecycle of the project.\nResponsibilities\nCollaborate with the Project Managers in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs\n\nPrepare and forward submittals; confirm submittal complies with plans/specs\n\nSupport the development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules\n\nPlay a lead role in the development of project plans\n\nMonitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring all deliveries conform with the project schedule\n\nReview change proposals from trade partners and negotiate as appropriate\n\nFacilitate with the Project Manager and Superintendent in the coordination of drawings\n\nDraft change orders. Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers. Perform scope take-off and estimate costs\n\nLead close out of project; includes assembling manuals and other warranties for turnover to owner and preparation final payment documents for subcontractors\n\nDevelop and lead training sessions for your team and trade partners\n\nTake ownership of document management applications\n\nBasic Qualifications\nUndergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline or relevant work experience\n\n2+ years experience in an engineer, project engineer, or a similar role in the construction industry\n\nExperience building mission critical/data center project(s) is a plus\n\nDemonstrated knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration\n\nDemonstrated ability reading drawings and specifications\n\nComputer proficient including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.\n\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills\n\nInterest and passion for building and the industry\n\nAlignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: Self-Motivated, Results Oriented, Adaptable, Team Player, Accountable,Ethical, Innovative, Resilient,Builds Relationships\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nOSHA 10 certification\n\nProcore experience\n\nPrimavera P6 experience\n\nExperience working for a general contractor\n\nThe work environment and requirements described below are representative of those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.\nThe Physical Side of the Role: This is an active, hands-on role. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. You’ll need to be comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, as well as visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work. The role does include desk time in the office that may require prolonged periods of sitting for tasks like computer work, document review, and meetings.\nYour Work Environment: You’ll spend a significant amount of your time on active construction sites, which means being adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels, and comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment and with the fast-paced nature of a project in progress. You will also spend time in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels.
