This role will focus on implementing a consistent and strong architecture capability across the D&A and AI ecosystem, with primary depth in GCP-native constructs.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\n- Drive the adoption journey of new technologies on GCP, with working knowledge of Azure and Databricks to support cross-cloud solutioning\n\n- Drive cost optimisation at platform level across GCP (and other cloud) workloads\n\n- Drive cloud migration initiatives at platform level (e.g., workload migration to GCP, platform consolidation, catalog/governance migration)\n\n- Collaborate with DevOps/Platform Engineering teams to implement cost-optimised technical design of application and platform components\n\n- Drive E2E solution design and support projects across different functional areas\n\n- Understand, communicate, articulate and implement solution architecture standards, best practices, performance enhancements and processes\n\n- Integrate ETL, modelling, reporting/presentation and advanced analytical/AI components keeping performance, security, SLAs and functionality in mind\n\n- Pilot different technical patterns, central reusable frameworks and tech strategies across cloud platforms\n\n- Deep understanding of secure-by-design and zero-trust access management to satisfy legal and security requirements, with focus on technical impact including performance of the solution\n\n- Exposure to global teams and ability to work with technical and functional experts across cloud and platform domains\n\nRequirements :\n\n- 5+ years of active work experience on Cloud Solution Architecture, with hands-on GCP experience and exposure to multi-cloud or cloud migration programs\n\n- Hands-on experience with core GCP constructs: Compute Engine/GKE, Cloud Composer/Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, IAM, VPC/networking, and related GCP PaaS/IaaS services\n\n- Working knowledge of Azure equivalents (ADF, Synapse, ADLS) and Databricks (Unity Catalog)\n\n- Demonstrated experience in cloud migration projects\n\n- Performance tuning and cost optimisation across GCP PaaS/IaaS components\n\n- Excellent programming skills in Python, Spark, SQL, or shell scripting\n\n- Exposure to BI/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker) is a plus\n\n- Ability to drive central implementations with diverse and global project teams\n\n- Project management skills ability to influence and drive decisions\n\nSkills\nData Engineering, Cloud Computing, Google Cloud Platform, Cloud Services, Spark, SQL, Azure Databricks, Python, Cloud Architect - AI/ML, Solution Architect","description_format":"text","description_chars":2762,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-26T02:00:24Z"}],"liveness":{"score":13,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":0.6,"p_active":0.381,"p_room":0.55,"age_days":40,"expected_fill_days":30,"reasons":["seen:40","agency","velocity","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/clarus-impact-network-cloud-solution-architect","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/clarus-impact-network-cloud-solution-architect.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T18:37:42Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":925,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4075,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
