Our diverse team is located in different parts of the world, but the main locations are Europe and the USA.\n\nWe are looking for a UI/UX Design Lead to join us remotely or in our office in Serbia and help drive design excellence across projects. This role is perfect for a strong designer who not only creates outstanding user experiences but also thrives on mentoring others, improving processes, and ensuring top-quality delivery for our clients.\n\nWhat you’ll do\r\n\nLead projects from research and discovery to final delivery, ensuring client-ready results;\n\nReview and refine team work, provide constructive feedback, and step in with hands-on support when needed;\n\nMentor and guide UI/UX Designers, helping them grow and maintaining high design standards;\n\nTake responsibility for client updates – from final design checks to organizing presentation materials;\n\nImprove workflows, optimize design processes, and keep project files and documentation organized;\n\nValidate design estimates and communicate priorities early to support effective project planning;\n\nOversee design system creation and implementation, ensuring consistency across projects;\n\nFoster a collaborative design culture through guidelines, workshops, and knowledge sharing.\n\nRequirements\r\n\nYou have 5+ years of digital design experience, including at least 2+ years in a leadership role within an agency or product team;\n\nYou combine strong hands-on UI/UX skills with the ability to guide, mentor, and inspire designers;\n\nYou thrive on solving complex UX challenges and aligning design decisions with business strategy and user needs;\n\nYou have experience leading projects from research to delivery, ensuring quality and consistency at every stage;\n\nYou are confident in conducting design reviews, giving constructive feedback, and setting clear quality standards;\n\nYou know how to build and manage design systems, ensuring scalability and consistency across products;\n\nYou are skilled in design operations: organizing workflows, structuring files, preparing documentation, and optimizing collaboration;\n\nYou can collaborate effectively with PMs, developers, ensuring smooth delivery and implementation of design work;\n\nYou are comfortable taking responsibility for client-facing deliverables and presentations, ensuring everything is polished and clear;\n\nYou possess strong written English skills, fluency in spoken English is preferred;\n\nYour timezone is within a 2-hour range of CET.\n\nBenefits\r\n\nFully remote work\n\nExcellent compensation – competitive pay with salary reviews\n\nIndividual growth – personal development program for employees like English courses\n\nPaid vacation, holidays, and sick days\n\nAmazing clients ranging from top startups to leading brands\n\nAt Clay, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive and equitable workplace because we recognize that diversity is fundamental to delivering the best digital products and services.
