Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nMaintenance of injection molding machines to satisfactorily accomplish quality and on-time delivered products to customers.\nSet-up and start-up of injected molding machines.\nApplies injection molding principles and molding theories to troubleshoot and process molding operations.\nPerforms mold and color changes on injection machines.\nWorks with Material Handlers and Machine Operators to make sure raw materials within the work cell are readily available.\nMonitors machine operation for compliance to all ISO, health, safety, quality, and efficiency standards; analyze and lead continuous improvements.\nWorks with production management to review and organize production activities. \nCollaborates with Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment and quality problems within molding cell.\nEvaluates scrap reduction techniques within work cell.\nMonitors and documents daily process conditions; logging changes and drafting detailed mold repair work information form sheets\nEnsures safety, cleanliness, and organization of work area.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nMinimum of 1-2 years of experience in an injection molding setup technician and/or process technician role required.\nHands-on experience performing complete mold changes, machine start-ups, process adjustments, and troubleshooting injection molding processes required.\nStrong mechanical aptitude, analytical mindset, reasoning abilities and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to train new Mold Setters as needed.\nCan successfully act as backup Mold Setter.\nGood training and leadership skills; team-oriented.\nHighly motivated.\nComputer proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word.\nAbility to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions. \nAbility to work overtime as required.\nMust be able to pass all pre-employment screenings\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.\n1-2 years of injection molding experience required (or prior external experience).\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to stand entire shift (8+ hrs.). \nAbility to lift up to 50lbs.\nRequires manual dexterity.\nModerate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment. \nFrequently moves from waist level to floor level. \nMonday - Friday; 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
