This position involves conducting detailed inspections and tests on injection molded and machined products for defects and deviations from specifications. The auditor will be responsible for auditing materials/components received using GD&T, SPC, and general use of measuring equipment and software. Must be able to collaborate closely with production teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. By maintaining accurate records and reports, the auditor supports compliance with industry regulations and internal quality policies. Ultimately, this role helps safeguard product integrity, customer satisfaction, and the overall reputation of the manufacturing organization.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform gauge testing and quality control inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.\nUtilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to take accurate dimensional measurements.\nDocument inspection results and maintain detailed quality records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.\nIdentify non-conformances and collaborate with production and engineering teams to recommend and verify corrective actions.\nParticipate in internal audits and support external quality audits to ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant standards.\nIdentifies and properly dispositions products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications. \nAnalyzes and interprets drawings, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required. \nNotifies Supervisors, Team Lead or Quality Manager of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems. \nDiscusses inspection results with those responsible for products\nRecords inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded. \nMarks items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status. \nObserves and monitors production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments. \nMeasures dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers. \nPerforms Incoming/Receiving Inspections and Final Inspections, as assigned.\nResponsible for entering scrap data by machine for each shift. \nOther duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nBasic knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.\nExperience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.\nFamiliarity with gauge testing procedures.\nCan successfully identify and properly disposition products, materials and equipment not meeting specifications within the 90 days of being placed in role.\nAbility to read blueprints, sketches, specifications and technical materials.\nAbility to work effectively with coworkers in a team environment.\nBasic knowledge of statistical concepts, process variation, process capability and over-adjustment.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociate degree or certification in quality assurance or a related field.\nExperience working in a manufacturing environment.\nKnowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.\nProficiency with quality documentation software and data entry.\nStrong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to stand entire shift (8+ hrs.). \nAbility to lift up to 50lbs.\nRequires manual dexterity.\nModerate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment. \nMonday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
