Responsible for auditing materials/components received using general use of measuring equipment and software. Perform inspection on parts where work was performed by outside services. Interfaces with production workers and maintain open communication with Shift Supervisor or Plant Quality Director.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\nDuties/Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nDiscard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications. \nAnalyze and interpret drawings, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required. \nNotify supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems. \nDiscuss inspection results with those responsible for products.\nMark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status. \nObserve and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments. \nMeasure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers. \nPerform duties with little or no supervision.\nQualifications and Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nHigh School diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.).\nMinimum of 2 years Production knowledge in Manufacturing.\nThe ability to read blueprints, sketches, specifications and technical materials.\nThe ability to work with coworkers in a team environment.\nAbility to use hand held measuring devices.\nCritical Thinking; Complex Problem Solving; and, Verbal and Written Communication.\nBackground ISO9001 environment preferred.
