This position is responsible for coordinating the preparation, packaging, and documentation of products to meet shipping schedules and customer requirements. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to verify shipment contents, maintain accurate records, and comply with company policies and regulatory standards. The Shipping Clerk Level I collaborates closely with warehouse personnel, logistics providers, and internal departments to facilitate smooth operations and timely delivery. Ultimately, this position contributes to customer satisfaction by supporting the reliable and organized dispatch of manufactured goods.\nResponsibilities:\nPrepare and package products for shipment according to company standards and customer specifications.\nUnload trucks with incoming material/ products/ components and processes receipts according to Standard Operating Procedures.\nVerify shipment contents against packing lists and purchase orders to ensure accuracy.\nGenerate and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs paperwork as applicable.\nCoordinate with warehouse staff and transportation carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.\nPrepare customer orders for shipment: Stage the required shipment quantity; verify part/lot numbers; shrink-wrap palletized loads; affix shipping labels; mark shipping information on carton/pallets/skids.\nLoad trucks with outgoing freight and process shipments and inventory transfers according to customer requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.\nMaintain organized records of all shipments and report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.\nAssist in inventory control by tracking outgoing shipments and updating inventory systems.\nMaintain product integrity within a specific location for storage and/or movements.\nIdentify and locate items. When necessary, prepare items for handling by shrink wrapping or otherwise securing items to a pallet or container.\nMoves material and items from receiving or production stages to designated areas.\nEnsures compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all shipping activities.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nBasic knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.\nFamiliarity with standard office software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).\nAbility to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds as required.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nPrevious experience in a shipping or warehouse environment within manufacturing.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or shipping software.\nBasic understanding of transportation regulations and documentation requirements.\nForklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.\nExcellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and external carriers.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.\nMust be able to stand the entire shift (8+ hrs.). \nAbility to lift up to 50lbs.\nRequires manual dexterity.\nModerate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment. \nFrequently moves from waist level to floor level. \nMonday - Friday; 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
