The Central Route Planner is responsible for organizing and coordinating daily activities of drivers for multiple locations within the organization. This is an administrative role that is responsible for coordinating the efficient use of drivers and manpower.\nWhy work for Safety-Kleen?\nHealth and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5;\n\nbase pay + commission opportunities\n\nComprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment;\n\nGroup 401K with company matching component;\n\nGenerous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement;\n\nPositive and safe work environments;\n\nOpportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career.\n\n Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner always.\n\nBuild and maintain relationships with field partners.\n\nReviews available loads for a specific region and assigns to drivers based on driver HOS, utilization and least cost routing.\n\nIntegrates technology: including PC Miller, Samsara etc. into the preplanning process.\n\nAdministers various aspects of drivers’ HOS compliance program.\n\nMaintains strong communication and working relationships with the Regional Logistics teams\n\nEnsures load plan meet all DOT compliance requirements\n\nOperates within a prescribed daily operational plan relative to budgeted hours and on-time performance.\n\nSome travel to fleet sites is required: 0-25%\n\nDaily communication with Service Delivery Managers regarding resources, capacity, to create effective routing solutions.\n\nEnsure Routing solution achieves customer service objectives by ensuring a balance of customer windows hit, attainable number of stops, drive time, and more.\n\nEnsure Routing solution achieves location productivity targets for hours, stops, and volume.\n\nWork with regional routing manager to conduct service territory analysis.\n\nMaximize company asset utilization in manpower and equipment.\n\nReview prior Weeks’s routing solution, what worked/didn't work, and solicit feedback from delivery service managers.\n\nPerforms other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.\n\nSome travel to fleet sites is required: 0-25%\n\n High school diploma or equivalent required.\nBachelors degree or specialized training in business, logistics or related subjects preferred.\n3+ year experience in transportation, operations, or supply chain related field. \nAbility to make discretionary decisions\nStrong computer skills with a solid proficiency in Microsoft based applications \nStrong Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookup, ECT)\nFamiliarity with routing software and TMS platforms.\nStrong time management and organizational skills\nStrong problem-solving skills\nWritten and oral communication\nStrong communication skills\nKnowledge of Fleet Compliance systems and software.\nCustomer service aptitude.\nDetailed oriented\nWondering what to expect in starting your career with Clean Harbors?
