Coordinates environmental audits of facilities by customers.\n\nActs as a liaison with Agency regulators and negotiates for terms favorable to the organization regarding legal agreements, permit conditions, and proposed regulations.\n\nResponds to significant accidents, incidents, and complaints and provides guidance to operational teams. Prepares and submits all required notifications/reports and participates in management team investigations as needed.\n\nMonitors regulatory changes for the purpose of insuring compliance with upcoming changes in federal, state and local rules and regulations.\n\nProvides guidance to sales, field personnel, and customers concerning federal, state and local environmental regulations.\n\nPerforms audits of external facilities to ensure they are properly permitted for use and operating in compliance.\n\nPerforms other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.\n\nRoutine travel to facilities.\n\nQualifications\nBS/BA (required)\n\nBS/BA in Environmental Science or Engineering (preferred)\n\n2+ Year Environmental compliance experience (required)\n\nKnowledge of and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) laws/regulations (required)\n\nRCRA 40 CFR hazardous waste management knowledge (required)\n\nExcellent communication, writing and presentation skills\n\nExcellent organizational skills\n\nClean Harbors is an equal opportunity employer.\nClean Harbors is committed to providing access, equal opportunity and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities in employment, its services, programs, and activities.
