This position will work both indoors and outdoors at plants, labs, customer sites and are responsible for assisting with lab packs within customer facilities, household hazardous waste (HHW) collections and lab moves.\nThis is a customer-facing position, working at customer sites daily. (based on experience/ valid CDL)\nComprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment.\nGroup RRSP with company matching component.\nAbility to participate in the company Employee Stock Purchase Plan.\nOpportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career.\nGenerous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement.\nPositive and safe work environments.\n Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.\nPrepare computer generated packing lists, labels, manifest, and land disposal restriction notifications.\nPerform inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance.\nInspect storage area and drums for leaks or spills, inspect drums for compliance with labeling regulations.\nCollects, segregates, and properly packages waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.\nConducts projects/jobs according to site specific Provincial and Federal regulations and health and safety plans.\nUnderstand customer specific disposal restrictions/special packaging requirements.\nSample and profile of new waste streams or any waste needing analytical testing.\nEnsures drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance with our company’s policies and procedure.\nFollow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules.\nObserve all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.\n Valid Class 3 Driver’s License highly preferred.\nGlass 5 license requires a reliable vehicle to commute to the branch. \nCollege Degree in chemistry or applicable experience needed (lab packing, HW waste segregation etc.)\nStrong customer service and communication skills. \nAbility to work independently and handle a variety of priorities. \nAbility to Perform physical functions per job requirements\nAbility to be clean shaven for to wear respirators if needed. \nStrong understanding of Transportation of Dangerous Goods. \nPrevious experience in Environmental Services highly preferred.\nClean Harbors Technical Services\nWaste Disposal - Comprehensive disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste at Company-owned facilities\nRecycling Services - Extensive recycling, reuse and reclamation options for materials such as solvents, chemicals, oil and electrical equipment\nChemical Packing - Safe, efficient handling and disposal of the widest range of chemicals, including reactive and compressed gases\n Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Services - HHW collection programs of all types and sizes, facilitated by Clean Harbors expert personnel\n40-years of sustainability in action.
