Depending on the assigned department, responsibilities may include refinery operations, shipping and receiving, maintenance, blending, tank farm operations, and wastewater treatment. This position ensures operations run safely and efficiently while meeting environmental compliance requirements.\n ResponsibilitiesMake health and safety a priority by enforcing safety rules, standard operating procedures, and site policies.\nSupervise daily plant operations, including truck and rail loading and unloading, refinery processing, tank farm activities, and wastewater treatment.\nLead, train, and mentor plant foremen and employees.\nManage employee scheduling, performance feedback, and accountability.\nMake decisions regarding hiring, training, promotions, compensation, and corrective action.\nServe as the subject matter expert for assigned plant operations.\nEnsure employees understand and take ownership of permit requirements and environmental compliance standards.\nOversee scanning applications used for waste tracking and material movement.\nMaintain clean, organized work areas.\nPerform additional duties as business needs require.\n QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nFive to seven years of relevant experience, including plant operations and supervision.\nRequired Department of Transportation (DOT) and forklift training.\nStrong leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.\nAbility to take initiative and manage multiple operational priorities.\nProficiency in Windows-based applications.\nKnowledge of waste-tracking scanning applications, EOM scanning procedures, and VPI/pick sheets.\nProficiency in multiple site-specific plant operations.\nAbility to review applicable standard operating procedures annually and successfully complete related assessments.\nAbility to perform essential job duties, with reasonable accommodation as needed, and complete required respirator fit testing.\nAbility to travel less than 10% of the time.\nAbout Clean HarborsClean Harbors has a commitment to excellence deeply rooted in a strong sense of tradition.
