TheLaboratory Technician will be responsible for helping with incoming, preparation, data entry and sending samples out as needed.\nShift: Monday-Friday: Second shift- 3:00pm-11:00pm; OT and Saturdays as needed; Will train on a day shift for 4-6 weeks.\nPay: $22/HR with $1.75/HR for shift differential pay\nWhy work for Clean Harbors?\nHealth and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5;\n\nCompetitive wages Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment;\n\nGenerous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement;\n\nPositive and safe work environments;\n\nOpportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career .\n\n Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;\n\nCollecting sample boxes from the shed (we have a cart);\n\nOpening boxes;\n\nEntering the information for the samples in our Laboratory information Management System, based on tests requested on sample chain of custody;\n\nLabeling samples;\n\nOrganizing samples in refrigerators;\n\nDiscarding completed samples when their retention time is over;\n\nBuilding sample kits to send out (placing empty jars in a cooler, sometimes assembling boxes with empty jars and then loading them onto a pallet);\n\nShipping samples through Fedex;\n\nMaintaining inventory of consumables;\n\nLogging chemicals and equipment that we receive;\n\nBasic communication with our customers;\n\nData entry in Winweb;\n\nOther admin tasks like scanning, sending emails etc.;\n\nPossibly some lab tasks;\n\nPerforms analysis of samples following prescribed procedures, with the ability to solve minor problems;\n\nCalibrates and utilizes instrumentation;\n\nMaintenance of equipment suggests solutions to problems;\n\nCompletes all paperwork associated with the analyses in a neat and timely fashion;\n\nEnsures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines;\n\nResponsibility for supply management in their area of responsibility, including proper housekeeping and best management practices;\n\nResponsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.\n\n High school diploma or equivalent required+ 1 year of specialized training required;\n\nBachelor’s degree in chemistry or physical science is preferred;\n\nSolid understanding of math, chemistry and chemical testing preferred;\n\nExperience in a laboratory preferred;\n\nAbility to work in a team environment.\n\nClean Harbors is an equal opportunity employer.\nClean Harbors is committed to providing access, equal opportunity and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities in employment, its services, programs, and activities.
