You will monitor and optimize processing systems, perform equipment inspections and adjustments, and help maintain compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements\nWhy work for Safety-Kleen?\nHealth and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5!\nSchedule: 12-hour shifts in a Continental Pattern\nCompetitive wages, this is a union based position, starting at $37.53\nComprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment;\nGroup RRSP with company matching component;\nEligible to participate in the employee company stock purchase program;\nGenerous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement;\nPositive and safe work environments;\nOpportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career.\n Operate and monitor computerized control systems from a central control room to optimize the performance of multiple processing units.\nMonitor, control, and adjust refinery and processing operations to ensure the safe and efficient production of petroleum products, including lubricating oils, using processes such as distillation, absorption, extraction, adsorption, thermal cracking, and catalytic cracking.\nReview production schedules, operating logs, laboratory test results, and technical recommendations to identify and implement process adjustments required to meet production, quality, and operational targets.\nAdjust and regulate process variables including flow rates, temperatures, pressures, vacuum levels, catalyst usage, and chemical inputs through automated control systems and remote operation of equipment such as heaters, furnaces, compressors, heat exchangers, reactors, fractionators, absorbers, strippers, and towers.\nProvide training, guidance, and support to employees as required.\nActively participate in safety initiatives, audits, and compliance programs, including permit issuance, inspections, hazard assessments, and related documentation.\nEnsure adherence to company policies, operating procedures, and environmental regulations.\nPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.\n 3rd Class Stationary Engineer Certificate mandatory;\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nThorough understanding of process equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, piping systems, and instrumentation.\nProficient computer skills, including experience with process control and monitoring systems.\nEmergency response experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is considered an asset.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities.\nDemonstrated commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.\nWondering what to expect in starting your career with Safety-Kleen?
