This role involves assembling custom industrial mechanical and electrical components, running conduit, and supporting general production and warehouse operations. The Mechanical Assembler must be reliable, hard-working, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team. This position reports to the Operations Manager. This is a full-time position based at the Company’s Grain Valley, Missouri office location.\nEssential Job Functions\nMeasure, cut, thread, glue, drill, and tap plastic and metal plumbing according to engineered drawings.\nUse hand and power tools to cut, grind, fabricate, and fasten mechanical components using screws, nuts, bolts, or other hardware.\nPerform electrical and mechanical assembly on components, sub-assemblies, and top-level assemblies by following drawings, procedures, and instructions.\nPerform basic wiring and terminations from electrical drawings (control panels, devices, interconnects).\nOperate industrial machinery such as saws, threaders, and paint equipment.\nRun and install electrical conduit (rigid, PVC, or flexible) as needed.\nInterconnect mechanical and electrical components on skids or equipment.\nFabricate and assemble wooden crates, skids, and support structures for equipment mounting or shipping.\nAssemble, package, and prepare products and equipment for shipment in a safe and timely manner.\nTroubleshoot assemblies and work with the Service department to repair customer equipment.\nRead and interpret instructions and drawings; asking clarifying questions as needed.\nMeet project deadlines and shipping schedules.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School diploma or GED required.\nExperience in production of mechanical, plumbing components, drilling, and measurement skills.\nMinimum 3 years’ experience in industrial production or maintenance. \nOperation of basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.).\nOperation of basic power tools (hand drill, drill press, grinder, etc.).\nKnowledge of fabrication shop tools and safety procedures.\nAbility to read and do general math.\nAbility to interpret and work from shop drawings and blueprints.\nAbility to understand wiring and electrical schematics.\nCommunicate effectively with internal staff and customers and work cohesively in a team environment.\nClear and concise oral and written English language communication skills required, including proper grammar and e-mail etiquette.\nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions.\nAbility to successfully handle work situations efficiently, professionally and effectively.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to make timely and sound decisions.\nDetail oriented, with a high degree of follow-through.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to work on multiple projects and activities and adapt quickly to time-sensitive needs.\nAbility to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with co-workers, management and members of the various business units.\nPreferred Qualifications\nHeavy industrial assembly experience.\nWorking knowledge of wastewater and industrial equipment.\nPhysical Demands\nRegularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, speak and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.\nMust have manual dexterity to operate the equipment and tools required for this position.\nMust be able to quickly respond (with the hand, finger or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.\nMust maintain clean and professional appearance while working with customers, vendors and colleagues.\nAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.\nVision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\nWork Environment\nMedium Industrial - May be exposed to areas of high noise levels, hazardous propellants, chemicals and industrial facilities. The base salary range for this position is between $24.00 and $26.00 per hour. Benefits package and incentives are provided.
