This position combines engineering knowledge with customer service skills to ensure that the product is technically sound and satisfies customer needs.\nEssential Job Functions\nWork with Sales, Applications, Operations, and Service teams and/or customers to assess project deliverables and requirements, including order entry, schedule updates, and preparation of submittal/engineering documentation.\nResponsible for the overall planning, management, quality, and completion of system deployments within schedule and budget constraints.\nReview and manage project/order constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality.\nPrepare project BOMs and all documentation needed for equipment fabrication.\nPrepare project O&M manuals, including detailed step-by-step operating instructions and troubleshooting guides.\nCommunicate assessed risks and project status to senior management.\nMaintain positive relationships and ensure effective communication between customers and internal team members.\nMaintain project/order-related materials in the project library/storage system.\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field from an accredited college or tech school.\nDemonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.\nAbility to interpret construction drawings, including mechanical, process, and electrical.\nDetailed-oriented, organized, self-starter, and able to handle multiple projects at the same time.\nStrong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nA Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering,\nExperience in the municipal water and/or wastewater industries.\nExperience as a construction project or field engineer.\nExperience in mechanical and electrical equipment designs.\nUp to three years’ experience managing the implementation and support of projects\nExperience in applications or sales support role that included bidding and selling capital equipment.\nFamiliarity with Great Plains ERP systems.\nAbility to identify and define system design requirements.\nFamiliarity with 2D AutoCAD.\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to sit for long periods of time.\nPhysical ability to perform work in a standing, stooping, sitting, or bending position for extended periods of time.\nRegularly stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.\nAbility to lift and/or move up to 25lbs.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.\nAbility to look at computer monitors for much of the workday.\nWork Environment\nExposure to various liquid and dry chemicals and substances associated with water and wastewater treatment applications.\nApproximately 90% Office.\nApproximately 10% Light Industrial - May be exposed to areas of high noise levels, hazardous propellants, chemicals and industrial facilities.\nAppropriate PPE and training will be provided for all conditions.\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. The base salary range for this position is $65,000 annually. Benefits package and incentives are provided.
