You'll partner closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and business leaders to create intuitive, high-performing experiences that drive acquisition, engagement, conversion, and member satisfaction.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong technical leadership with a deep understanding of consumer product development, building high-performing teams that move quickly while maintaining quality, reliability, and operational excellence.\nWhat You'll Do:\nLead and grow multiple engineering teams responsible for CLEAR's consumer experiences across mobile, web, marketing technology, and Concierge products.\nDefine and execute the technical strategy for customer-facing applications, ensuring scalable, reliable, and performant experiences that delight millions of members.\nPartner closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Business stakeholders to prioritize roadmaps that improve acquisition, conversion, engagement, retention, and member satisfaction.\nDrive engineering excellence by establishing best practices around architecture, delivery, quality, observability, and operational performance.\nBuild highly collaborative relationships across Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and Marketing to rapidly deliver customer value through experimentation and continuous iteration.\nChampion modern engineering practices, enabling teams to move quickly while maintaining reliability, security, and technical quality.\nDevelop engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, accountability, and continuous growth.\nUse data, experimentation, and customer insights to inform technical investments and continuously improve the digital member experience.\nWhat You're Great At:\n12+ years of software engineering experience, including 6+ years leading engineering teams and 3+ years managing engineering managers.\nProven experience leading multiple teams building and scaling consumer-facing digital products, including mobile applications, web platforms, or customer acquisition experiences.\nStrong technical background designing scalable distributed systems and modern cloud-native applications.\nExperience partnering closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Analytics to deliver customer-centric experiences and measurable business outcomes.\nDemonstrated success building high-performing engineering organizations that balance speed, quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability.\nStrong understanding of experimentation, A/B testing, analytics, and data-informed product development.\nExceptional communicator who can influence technical and business leaders while aligning cross-functional organizations around a shared vision.\nPassion for developing engineering talent and creating an inclusive, high-performing culture where teams can do their best work.\nComfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a strong sense of ownership and continuous improvement.\nHow You’ll be Rewarded:\nAt CLEAR, we help YOU move forward - because when you’re at your best, we’re at our best. The total compensation range for this role is $435,000-$535,000 depending on levels of skills and experience.\nThis range represents the combined base salary, annual bonus incentive, and new hire equity package (in Restricted Stock Units) for this position at CLEAR. Additionally, this role will be eligible for refresh equity grants as part of our ongoing compensation program. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience, and performance.
