This role requires a focus on building resilient, scalable systems, driving automation, and leading and developing high-performing engineering teams.\nWhat you'll do:\nHire, develop, and grow engineering talent through coaching, mentorship, performance management, and career development planning\nSet clear goals and expectations, provide regular feedback, and foster accountability across the team\nOwn and execute the roadmap for cloud infrastructure and platform engineering, and reliability initiatives\nDesign, build, and operate a scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platform infrastructure\nDrive automation across infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operations to improve efficiency and reduce manual overhead\nEstablish and enforce best practices for system reliability, observability, incident response, and disaster recovery\nPartner with engineering teams to improve deployment pipelines, service operability, and production readiness\nProvide technical leadership, making clear architectural decisions and communicating trade-offs, risks, and impacts\nOwn operational excellence through metrics, SLAs/SLOs, and continuous improvement of system performance, reliability, and cost\nWhat you're great at:\n3+ years of experience managing and developing software engineers, with strong coaching and team leadership skills\nStrong experience with CI/CD systems, infrastructure automation, and release engineering\nDeep knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and distributed systems architecture\nHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi)\nStrong expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration at scale\nExperience designing for high availability, fault tolerance, and operational resilience\nProficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, and or Java) and solid software engineering fundamentals\nExperience with observability tooling (monitoring, logging, tracing) and incident management practices\nAbility to collaborate cross-functionally and influence teams to adopt infrastructure and operational best practices\nStrong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills\nCurious, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and improvement\nHow You’ll be Rewarded:\nAt CLEAR, we help YOU move forward - because when you’re at your best, we’re at our best. Additionally, this role will be eligible for refresh equity grants as part of our ongoing compensation program. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience, and performance.
