Additional responsibilities include support for VoIP/telephony infrastructure, real-time messaging systems, and active participation in on-call rotations.\n\nWhat This Role Does:\nDesigns, implements, and maintains cloud infrastructure on AWS, focusing on networking, security, and cost efficiency.\nBuilds and manages CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket to automate software delivery and deployment processes.\nDevelops infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible to ensure consistency and scalability.\nManages containerized applications using Docker and supports Kubernetes-based deployments for microservices-based architectures.\nOversees the management and optimization of both relational (RDS) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Couchbase) databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.\nSupports telephony infrastructure using tools like Asterisk, Kamailio, and RTPEngine.\nImplements and maintains messaging and streaming platforms like Apache Kafka for real-time data processing and integration.\nEnhances monitoring and alerting capabilities using tools such as Datadog, Netscout, and ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).\nEstablishes and maintains alerting workflows through OpsGenie, integrating with Slack to streamline communication and accelerate response times for incident management and resolution.\nCollaborates closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployments and ensure smooth system operation. Shares knowledge and works cross-functionally to achieve shared goals.\nDiagnoses issues and identifies root causes, ensuring optimized system performance.\nParticipates in an on-call rotation to provide support for critical systems and infrastructure, ensuring timely response and resolution of incidents.\nDemonstrates willingness to shift working hours as needed to support global teams or handle time-sensitive escalations.\nCreates and maintains documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and onboarding.\nContributes knowledge and mentorship within the team to foster a culture of learning and growth.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nWhat You Will Bring:\nA high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in a related IT discipline is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant industry experience will be considered.\nA minimum of four (4) years of experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a focus on cloud infrastructure, automation, and managing complex environments.\nProficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or similar.\nExperience with configuration management tools such as Chef or Ansible.\nUnderstanding of CI/CD tools and processes, with hands-on experience in Bitbucket (or similar).\nExperience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.\nFamiliarity with managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.\nProficient in managing and optimizing databases, both relational (RDS) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Couchbase).\nUnderstanding of telephony/VoIP infrastructure using tools like Asterisk, Kamailio, and RTPEngine.\nKnowledge of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and related VoIP technologies.\nExperience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog, Netscout, and ELK.\nKnowledge of messaging and streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.\nKnowledge of security best practices, including vulnerability management, static code analysis, and compliance frameworks.\nStrong attention to detail and on-time completion of deliverables.\nProfessionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff.\nExcellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.\nSelf-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed, and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.\nAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to foster a high-quality, team-oriented environment that drives results.\nDemonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality\nWillingness and ability to work flexible hours as needed.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and modern communication tools for virtual teams (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack).\nPreferred:\nExperience with SIP protocols\nExperience maintaining a high availability telecommunications infrastructure\nExperience with VOIP environments (such as Asterisk, Kamailio, RTPEngine and Cisco)\nExperience administering NoSQL databases with Couchbase or MongoDB.
