including lease billing, CAM recoveries, cost allocations, and Yardi \nOrganized and able to communicate with internal and external parties\nComfortable in a growing, startup-style environment\nDetail-oriented with sound judgment and a high standard for accuracy\nA day in the life:\nRecommend and document the accounting treatment for property transactions, including capitalization, depreciation, and lease accounting\nComplete the month-end close for an assigned portfolio, including accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger review\nPrepare and record journal entries for rental revenue, straight-line rent, CAM accruals, and operating expenses\nReview lease documents to confirm accurate billing and charge setup, and validate annual CAM and expense recovery reconciliations\nAllocate shared costs across properties and entities and reconcile intercompany balances\nPrepare variance analysis and financial statements, and support lender reporting, audits, and acquisition due diligence\nSupport payroll review and cost allocation as needed\nWhat we are expecting from you:\nA Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience is required\nA minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience in commercial real estate, property management, or a related field\nExperience with property-level accounting, including lease-based revenue and billing, CAM and operating expense recoveries, cost allocations, and month-end close\nWorking knowledge of GAAP as applied to real estate, including lease accounting (ASC 842) and property and depreciation (ASC 360)\nDemonstrated proficiency with Yardi Voyager, including general ledger, receivables, billing, and month-end close processes, is required\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Word and Outlook, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software\nAbility to review and interpret lease agreements and related documents to confirm billing and accounting treatment\nAbility to travel occasionally to properties within the assigned portfolio\nMust be able to pass a background check\nNice to have:\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or in-progress certification\nExperience with Yardi Voyager setup and configuration, including chart of accounts, charge codes, and billing\nExperience with additional Yardi modules, such as Procure to Pay (P2P) or Elevate\nExperience with multi-entity or intercompany accounting\nExperience supporting audits, lender reporting, or acquisition due
