Role If You:\nHave deep experience designing and troubleshooting complex operational data flows\nAre highly proficient in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting\nHave strong experience designing and implementing Java-based solutions\nAre experienced administering and developing dataflows using Apache NiFi\nEnjoy working directly with mission customers to analyze and transform raw data\nUnderstand data security, compliance, and corporate data flow processes\nAre comfortable leading development efforts and ensuring software quality standards\nCan evaluate hardware/software trade-offs and recommend optimal technical solutions\nThrive in environments requiring both hands-on development and technical leadership\nA Day in the Life:\nDesigning, sustaining, and troubleshooting operational data flows across storage and transport systems\nAdministering and developing data processing workflows using Apache NiFi\nPerforming exploratory data analysis to clean, enrich, and transform mission data\nDeveloping Java-based solutions and writing Bash/Python/Perl scripts to support automation and data processing\nIntegrating COTS, GOTS, and OSS technologies into mission environments\nEnsuring compliance with corporate data security and governance policies\nReviewing and testing software components to ensure adherence to design requirements\nCoordinating with system and hardware engineers to derive requirements and validate interfaces\nProviding technical oversight, improving development standards, and ensuring quality control across team products\nMust Have:\nActive TS/SCI with Polygraph within the last seven (7) years\nMaster’s degree in a related field and ten (10) years of SWE experience, or Bachelor’s degree a related field and twelve (12) years of SWE experience, or fourteen (14) years of SWE experience \nExperience developing in Unix/Linux environments\nStrong proficiency using Linux CLI tools\nExperience writing scripts using Bash and Python\nExperience designing and implementing Java solutions\nExperience with Apache NiFi system administration\nExperience using Apache NiFi canvas to process and distribute data\nExperience creating, managing, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows\nExperience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence\nWorking knowledge of Configuration Management tools and Web Services implementation\nExperience with Agile development processes and Git source control\nNice to Have:\nExperience with corporate data flow processes and enterprise tools\nExperience with corporate data security and compliance procedures\nDemonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain Perl scripts and applications\nExperience with relational and non-relational databases\nExperience serving as technical lead for multiple development
