This role establishes technical strategy, architecture standards, governance practices, and engineering best practices that enable secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective technology services. Success is achieved through deep technical expertise, strategic influence, operational leadership, and the ability to drive modernization across cloud, infrastructure, identity, and platform engineering disciplines.\nKey Responsibilities\nTroubleshooting & Support\nParticipate in a 24x7 on-call rotation up to 50% of the year and act as a first responder to operational and security incidents affecting business-critical systems and cloud platforms.\nApply critical thinking, analysis, and technical troubleshooting skills to assess and rapidly resolve complex infrastructure, security, networking, identity, and cloud platform issues.\nServe as an escalation point for Tier 2 and Tier 3 cloud and infrastructure support.\nLead resolution of major incidents involving cloud services, identity platforms, virtualization, networking, business continuity, and enterprise applications.\nPerform root cause analysis and drive implementation of long-term corrective and preventive actions.\nAct as technical lead and mentor for Cloud Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Infrastructure Engineers.\nCloud Platform Engineering\nDesign, implement, and govern enterprise cloud platforms, services, and operational standards.\nEstablish cloud architecture patterns, security controls, automation standards, and governance processes.\nLead cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.\nPartner with application, security, and data teams to enable scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions.\nInfluence strategic direction for cloud services, platform engineering, observability, automation, resilience, and infrastructure operations.\nInfrastructure Operations & Security\nEstablish and maintain operational processes, procedures, standards, and technical documentation.\nAdvise stakeholders on cloud architecture, security, compliance, platform capabilities, and operational risk.\nLead implementation of infrastructure resiliency, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery strategies.\nInfluence enterprise standards for identity management, endpoint management, networking, cloud governance, and infrastructure security.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enterprise platforms and operational efficiency.\nImpact\nThis role carries highly privileged administrative access across cloud, infrastructure, and identity platforms. Errors in judgment or inadvertent mistakes could result in:\nMajor business and operational disruption\nWidespread customer-facing and revenue-impacting service outages\nSignificant cloud security incidents and data breaches\nEnterprise identity compromise\nLoss of critical business systems or data\nRegulatory, legal, financial, or reputational impact to the organization\nExperience Requirements\n7-9 years of relevant infrastructure, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or platform administration experience.\nAdvanced to Expert Technical Knowledge\nMicrosoft Azure and AWS infrastructure and platform engineering\nCloud architecture, governance, and operational best practices\nInfrastructure as Code (Terraform)\nWindows and Linux Server administration and configuration\nMicrosoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity governance\nCloud storage, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions\nMonitoring, logging, observability, and alerting platforms\nPowerShell and infrastructure automation\nCI/CD pipeline support and DevOps practices\nSecurity hardening, vulnerability management, and cloud security controls\nContainer and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)\nMicrosoft 365 platform administration\nModerate Technical Knowledge\nApplication architecture and cloud-native development patterns\nData platforms and analytics services\nFinOps and cloud cost optimization practices\nZero Trust security principles and regulatory compliance requirements\nEducation & Certifications\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nTarget Compensation\n$135,000-$140,000\nDOT Requirements\nIf applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.\nCompensation Range\n$110,200.00 - $165,200.00Currency\nUSDType\nSalaryAny offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.\nCLEAResult will not provide sponsorship or support for immigration status or work authorization including for international students.
