This role owns the end-to-end telecom and voice infrastructure that connects onpremise telco providers (ISDN) to our cloudhosted PBX and AI systems. The engineer will be responsible for\ndesigning maintaining troubleshooting and scaling voice connectivity while acting as the technical\nowner for telco vendors especially across UAE and Saudi Arabia.\nThis is a handson role. We are not looking for a paper architect or a pure IT admin we need someone who understands real-world telco problems knows how carriers work in the Middle East and can independently drive solutions\nKey Responsibilities\nTelecom & Voice Infrastructure\nOwn and maintain ISDN PRI (E1) connectivity terminated at office locations\n\nConfigure and manage ISDN gateways / PBX hardware used for ISDN SIP conversion\n\nEnsure clean ISDN signaling (Q.931 / Euro ISDN / QSIG)\n\nHandle DID mapping CLI presentation channel capacity and scaling\n\nSIP PBX & Cloud Integration\nManage SIP trunks between onprem gateways and cloudhosted PBX (AWS)\n\nTroubleshoot SIP signaling RTP media codecs DTMF and audio issues\n\nDebug common issues such as oneway audio call drops call setup failures\n\nWork with Yeastar / Asterisk / FreeSWITCHbased systems (or similar)\n\nNetwork & VPN Connectivity\nEnsure stable sitetosite VPN connectivity for SIP/RTP traffic\n\nCoordinate with firewall setups (Fortinet or equivalent)\n\nUnderstand NAT traversal and voicespecific networking constraints\n\nVendor & Telco Management & Operations (Critical Part of the Role)\nServe as the main technical liaison for telecommunications vendors.\n\nProactively identify evaluate and integrate ISDN/voice carriers.\n\nManage and coordinate the end-to-end process: provisioning migrations testing and cutovers.\n\nResolve escalated issues by engaging directly with carrier NOCs and field engineers.\n\nEnforce quality standards challenging vendors on unacceptable routing signaling or service quality.\n\nOperations & Documentation\nPerform rootcause analysis for telecom incidents\n\nCreate and maintain architecture diagrams and runbooks\n\nDocument call flows vendor dependencies and recovery procedures\n\nSupport expansions new office setups and vendor transitions\n\nRequirements\nStrong handson experience with ISDN PRI (E1) configuration and troubleshooting\n\nSolid understanding of SIP RTP codecs DTMF and call flows\n\nExperience working with PBX systems (Yeastar Asterisk FreeSWITCH Cisco etc.)\n\nDirect experience dealing with telco providers (not via middlemen only)\n\nMandatory: Regional Vendor Knowledge (UAE & KSA)\n\nProven knowledge of where and how to procure ISDN / voice connectivity in:\nUAE\n\n(DU Etisalat)\n\nSaudi Arabia\n\n(STC Salam Mobily Zain)\n\nFamiliar with:\nLocal telco procurement processes\n\nDID allocation and CLI regulations\n\nProvisioning lead times and dependencies\n\nCommon carrier limitations and workarounds\n\nAble to independently:\nShortlist vendors\n\nCoordinate installations and migrations\n\nManage carrier escalations endtoend\n\nPreferred Experience\n\nSitetosite VPNs for voice traffic\n\nAWS networking
