Role\nThe successful candidate will be a key member of the Mechanical, Thermal and Propulsion (MTP) team and will help develop cutting edge mechanisms for ClearSpace's future space missions.\nRole Responsibilities\nDeveloping mechanism subsystems to address a wide variety of in-orbit services, including (but not limited to) cooperative and non-cooperative capture, docking, inspection, refuelling, repair, life-extension, and assembly.\nWork with an interdisciplinary team to create new robotic products including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing\nManage mechanical and thermal interfaces\nEstablish mechanical drawings\nJustify designs with all appropriate calculations and analysis.\nPrepare and execute functional performance and environmental tests\nDocument design and test activities\nSupporting the development of world-class robotics simulation and testing capabilities and facilities.\nDefining ClearSpace's mechanism products, with particular emphases on modularity and scalability.\nInterfacing with customers, partners and subcontractors.\nMust Have\n5+ years experience of mechanisms engineering within the space industry.\nExperience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test, and on-orbit operations)\nProven experience in the development and qualification of space mechanisms, including participation in formal qualification campaigns conducted in accordance with ECSS standards and customer requirements.\nExperience with subcontractor management\nComfortable interacting with customers, both institutional (LSA, ESA) and commercial\n(BSc/MSc) Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Engineering or similar.\nInformation about our data processing is set out in our
