Today ClearSpace has assembled an expert engineering team and is leading the way toward sustainable space operations. From a garage in Switzerland, we now operate across UK and Europe, and are working with world-leading institutions and companies to bring our dream of a sustainable space ecosystem to life.\nWe are looking for a Mission Analysis Engineer to join our team who will work on both our current missions and future projects.\nThe Role\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Mission Engineer to join our Mission and Systems Engineering Team. The successful candidate will participate in the mission design, mission level verification activities, and operation for current and future ClearSpace missions. Our ideal candidate is a dynamic team player who is a self-starter and is passionate about the future of in-orbit servicing!\nKey responsibilities\nIdentifying, analysing and deriving technical, programmatic and business requirements, constraints and assumptions impacting future ClearSpace missions, performing or participating in high-level trade-offs on mission profiles and key technologies, \nModelling and analysing orbits, main mission phases and key mission parameters (manoeuvres and deltaV, launch injection, in-orbit safety and re-entry analyses, etc…), for both low-thrust and high-thrust trajectories, \nDefining Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) and Operations Plans, \nPerforming environmental analysis: thermal, radiation and illumination, \nPerforming space debris mitigation and in-orbit safety compliance analyses,\nDefining and participating in the verification activities, and later supporting the flight dynamics team, \nInterfacing with customers, partners and subcontractors, \nDefining and supporting tools development and validation, \nSupport writing proposals for future business. \nMust Have\n2 to 5 years’ experience in mission engineering or flight dynamics within the space industry or space agencies; \nKnowledge of flight and orbital mechanics for high and low thrust trajectories; \nExcellent communication skills to interface with our internal engineering teams; \nComfortable interacting with customers, both institutional (UKSA, ESA) and commercial. \nBSc Degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or similar\nNice to have\nExperience in spacecraft operations, desired but not essential; \nResearch activities in astrodynamics are welcome; \nKnowledge of ECSS standards; \nKnowledge of common industry space debris mitigation standards and compliance verification;\nKnowledge of rendezvous and proximity operations;\nExperience of obtaining mission operations licenses and interacting with regulatory bodies;\nFamiliarity with the full space program lifecycle, from business development, proposal generation and contract negotiations, all the way through design, development, assembly, test, and successful delivery.\nMSc Degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or similar\nInformation about our data processing is set out in our candidate data privacy notice.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3321,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":2,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":true},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Space & Aerospace"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-06T10:31:55Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
