We are currently looking for a Robotics Engineer to join our team.\nRole Purpose/Summary\nThe successful candidate will be a key member of the UK Team and will help develop robotic systems for ClearSpace's future commercial space missions.\nRole Responsibilities\nDeveloping core robotic technologies to address a wide variety of in-orbit services, including (but not limited to) cooperative and non-cooperative capture, docking, inspection, refueling, repair, life-extension, and assembly.\nSupporting the development of world-class robotics simulation and testing capabilities and facilities.\nDefining ClearSpace's robotics products, with emphases on modularity and scalability.\nDelivering robotic solutions to key programs, to schedule, cost and performance requirements.\nHelping define and execute validation, verification and test plans.\nInterfacing with customers, partners, and subcontractors.\nSupport proposal writing for future business. \nRobotics application programming.\nMust have\nBSc/MSc) Degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Robotics or Embedded Electronics similar.3+ years experience of robotics, mechatronics or embedded electrical engineering.\n\nUnderstanding of robotics foundation theory.\nUnderstanding of motor control, and experience of embedded software and programming\nProgramming in Matlab/Simulink, Python, C/C++ (at least one).\nNice to have\n\nPrior experience in the space industry\nComfortable interacting with customers, both institutional (ESA, EC, LSA) and commercial.\nFamiliarity with the full space program lifecycle, from business development, proposal generation and contract negotiations, all the way through design, development, assembly, test and successful delivery.\nInformation about our data processing is set out in our candidate data privacy notice.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2477,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Space & Aerospace"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-06T10:31:55Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
