We have an immediate opening for an ExperiencedFitter with MIG welding experience at our Bowmanville facility.\nJob Requirements and Responsibilities:\nMust have excellent fitting skills \nRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process\nFitting, fabricating, and welding metal and structural components. \nCut, drill, bevel, and grind metal parts to ensure proper fit-up for welding\nLay out, position, and align parts and assemblies before welding\nClamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, and bolt parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding\nRecognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as wheel & die grinders\nMust be able to set up their own jig\nExperience welding with stainless steel and aluminum would be an asset\nEnsure production quality is being met and safety is being followed during the process\nMaintains a working knowledge of the status of all current projects\nInspects work to maintain specified standards and quality\nWork with large parts/fabrications and custom structural steel fabrications\nMust do general labour work if/when required\nQualifications you should have:\nMinimum 5 years experience fitting \nMinimum 5 years MIG Welding is essential\nWelding Certificate or Diploma program an asset\nCWB weld ticket preferred or capable of obtaining\nSelf-motivated, ability to work with little supervision or direction\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\nMust be able to work overtime when required\nPositive attitude and take pride in your work\nSolid communication and team collaboration\nSound knowledge of welding safety regulations and commitment to health and safety in the workplace.\nStrong ability to build rapport, establish trust and command respect.\nExcellent quality of workmanship (welds must pass MTO inspection)\nWhat we offer:\n$28-35.00 per hour\nPermanent Full-time work\nGroup Health Benefits - company paid (Health, Dental, Drugs, Life Insurance, AD&D, LTD)\nRSP Plan with company match\nM-F Shifts - Day Shift (Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM to 04:30 PM & Friday: 7:00 AM to 03:30 PM) \nAnnual Boot Allowance\nCandidates selected for an interview must complete a weld test and fitting test.\nAs an equal-opportunity employer, we recruit our employees based on their capabilities and performance.
