Overview

The Business Development Technology Coordinator plays a key role in connecting business development, marketing and technology to help the firm make the most of its core platforms and data. Working with the global Business Development and Marketing Communications (BDMC) team, partners, practice groups and colleagues across the firm, the Coordinator helps ensure that information in the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and Pitch/Experience Management database (Foundation) is accurate, current and actionable, while coordinating high-quality e-marketing activity. Through strong systems support, data stewardship and collaboration, the role enables more effective business development and marketing across the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for the global BDMC team across its three core platforms: MS Dynamics, Foundation and Vuture.
  • Support Foundation upgrades and configuration and help introduce new functionality to the global BDMC team.
  • Help business development & marketing colleagues, associates and assistants build confidence in using MS Dynamics and Foundation through practical training and ongoing support.
  • Manage data imports, migrations and quality assurance projects to maintain accurate, reliable and useful information across the firm’s systems.
  • Use quality assurance reporting to identify missing or incomplete information, such as pitch statistics, opportunity outcomes and pitch descriptions, and work with the appropriate teams to address gaps.
  • Lead tracking and reporting for special projects, turning data into clear and useful insights for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Marketing and Business Development to capture client and matter availability information in the experience management database.
  • Partner with the Legal Directory Analysts to ensure directory narratives are captured accurately in the experience management database.
  • Research client industries and enrich new client records with accurate industry information.
  • Coordinate the timely and accurate distribution of client alerts, event invitations and other communications through the firm’s e-marketing system.
  • Explore creative and responsible uses of AI to identify patterns, surface actionable insights and present information in ways that support more informed business development and marketing decisions.
  • Support successful Business Development events by managing registration lists, creating and distributing invitations, and tracking and reporting engagement and activity.

Qualifications

  • At least two years’ experience working with databases and e-marketing systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Vuture and/or Foundation would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work confidently with large volumes of information and translate data into clear, useful outputs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data quality, accuracy and consistency.
  • A proactive, service-focused approach, with the ability to build positive working relationships and provide responsive support to stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain systems and processes clearly to different audiences.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies, applications and ways of working.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a postgraduate qualification in information, data or computer science is preferred but not essential.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard office hours when needed to support urgent or time-sensitive activity.
